"The Rebel Child Of The South"
I have always been a rebel child of the south I wasn't like most kid's of the south whom was brought up with hate and racism that's not me.
Me I use to get up and kick up a little dust and mud and play around on those big round bell's of hay as me and my brother's and sister played the day's away on them.
We use to take long walks or hikes and go camping and fishing and hunting and how to live off the land make our own food and how to kill and clean it to that was the best ways to live in the south.
Yes we would always get into trouble and always be piddling around in our small hick town of Polkville,North Carolina and our small so small back then we could actually meet up with your friends and take a ride in the car and play around by doing it in reverse oh man those was the good ol`day's I tell you.
Well I would always be a playing outside making mud pies and then that's when my mom took it upon herself to bring me in to our home show me how to cook everything and canning in our southern ways.
Then if I wasn't with my mom I was with my dad out in the garage helping him build car's and trucks and remodeling them as well and my dad always took me hunting for deer and bear's and everything thing else could be found then take them back home and clean them right on up for dinner.
Then my dad showed me how to plant a garden to have our own food to grow because he said baby girl there will come a time that you and everyone else will have to do.
Then one day me and my brother's and sister was out in my oldest brother car then he decided to take on a mountain in Casar north carolina and long and behold he got the dang car stuck which was a brand new camaro and then he decides to put the car in reverse on a mountain because he was trying to turn it around and as me and my sister was in the back set we was hoping and praying that we wasn't going to die but in the end of all that my brother got it turned around and down off the mountain because the dirt was coming out from under the tires that day so yes we all had turned a least three shades of white we was like a dang ghost when we finally made it down.
But these are only fine memories of what once was in the south because now each time you turn around it's all about racism and our southern ways and confederate flag.
Please don't judge us because we live, love and respect you for you so we're only asking for the same in return.
But long live "The Rebel Child".
Because I am most certainly one and dang proud of it to.
Because here's a Dixie Darling of the south whom don't mind getting a little dirty everyday.
